Aggravated Assault


Aggravated assault is a serious crime in Arizona that carries serious penalties for those that are accused. In Arizona news has circulated that a police officer arrested a man in Surprise on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night after of Jesus Vega, 53, allegedly pulled out a knife during a verbal disagreement with his girlfriend. When officers arrived at the home in the 13600 block of West Fargo Drive at approximately 7:20 p.m., they were informed that Mr. Vega, had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend about the woman's daughter, stated Sgt. Mark Ortega, a Surprise police spokesman.

Vega was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal damage, disorderly conduct and assault.
